Firstly, this is already on first play superior to the last couple of Fifa's and best yet in terms of player control, the shots, dribbling and passing seem much more accurate. I don't know anyone that does not use the classic controller with Fifa, it just doesn't feel natural to me, that could be because I have been playing the PS2 and PS3 fifa's for years and a control just feels much more controlled with the game with the Wii classic style controller too. I have 1
Nintendo Wii Classic Controller (Wii), 2
Nyko Wired Kama and Wing Controller Pack (Wii) and 1
Snakebyte Wii Retro Controller - Black (Wii) and find them all similar but the Nyko and Snakebyte ones are a bit bigger so more suitable for myself and adult friends.
Ok back to Fifa, the teams available although a bit limited around the world are full of the players you would expect to be in them and in most cases look pretty accurate on close up shots. I love the option of transfers being available and updated these manually today for the last transfer window, which took some time clicking through trying to find all the random European and World clubs in the system, although most were there, they were not so easy to find always. I could have used the transfer update system apart from the fact my Wii is too far away from the wireless router to get an internet connection, which is a bit annoying. (have to sort that problem out soon as i'm also missing out on playing other people online which would be great as my friends are not local and available when needed :)
The Cups were all there domestic wise, but could not find European or Champions League Cups which was a bit disappointing, but again I can create my own cup which is no problem. Note here that playing 4 player on the wii with friends you cannot play a tournament which includes all 4 of you playing. Searched everywhere on the system but it just isn't there.
The 5 a side matches are awesome!! My friends who have PS3 and PS2 versions are gutted that theirs does not have this as its quick, fast and great fun.
The 'Street to stadium' mode is really good, if you have a whole week of evenings spare you can set up yourself in the system, start on 5 a side with not too many skills and the more goals, assists and other point scoring opportunities you get the more you can build your skill and fame level. Every season you'll get asked what team you want to play for and you'll say Spurs for example and when you don't get enough points like I do, you'll end up at Leeds. If you get enough points by a certain age you can play for England. It's a bit gimmicky in places but I still enjoyed it.
That's pretty much it, I have had it for about 3 months now and still play for a couple of hours a night at least once a week and it's great for when you have your friends around. Totally recommend! I would take anything I said negative about this as more what I would personally like included, I still give it 5 stars as I love it and will continue to buy Fifa's as long as they go.
