Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Touting itself as "too gangster for the Garden" (in the words of its kingpin D-Mob), Def Jam Vendetta takes you on a head-slamming, gut-busting tour of the underground hip-hop fightclub circuit. No blow is too low in this testosterone-spiked world featuring the music and likenesses of Def Jam artists such as Ghostface Killah, Redman and Ludacris--not to mention a whole host of the nastiest, most lowdown fictional thugs you'd imagine the hardcore rap world has to offer. Everyone's lying in wait to see if you're for real or just another wannabe player.

Def Jam Vendetta offers three game modes: Battle, where it's just you against up to three takers, Survival, in which you fight all comers until you lose and--where the real meat of the game takes place--Story, in which you fight as one of four brawlers. The journey begins at the Face Club where you step in for your injured pal Manny. From there you move on to other venues such as DMX's Junkyard and Ludacris's Club Luda and climb the ranks to the ultimate showdown with D-Mob. The route there isn't a cakewalk, but the more battles you win, the more money you make to upgrade your fighting attributes. Victories also bring the ladies calling. They literally fight for your attention--win a fight by playing as the newest girl to approach you and you'll unlock pictures of her in your photo gallery.

Action inside the ring is gritty and furious as you can lay down a multitude of moves and combinations with names like Hurtin' Unit, Spittin' Teef, Ghetto Thuggin', and Death Row Delivery, to name just a few. Momentum is key in building toward Blazin' Mode, in which you can utilise your signature move for the sure KO. In the meantime, though, there's still plenty of fun to be had in decking your opponents and watching them moan and writhe about in pain. --Larry White

Def jams new jammin game 10 April 2003
The story to it is that, it's been three years since D-Mob chased you out of the New York fight circuit and you swore you'd never go back. Now your pal Manny is in trouble and he needs you to bail him out. The plan is simple: get in, win a few fights, pay off his debt, get out. No problem. Well, it turns out that things aren't as easy as they appear. Once in the scene, your past comes back to haunt you. Soon you're over your head and your only chance to get your life back together is to settle a score that has gone too long unpaid what will happen you will have to play to find out. Their is realism in this game your favorite stars are in this game. Their is great rap hip hop music in this game it will keep you busy for hours with 4 different play modes 10 different fighting arenas and over about 40 characters, 10 from real life def jam rap stars. You can even have a scrap in dmx's junk yard.

MONEY POWER RESPECT 26 Jun 2003
By BLUSOV
This game is has everything you want in a fighting game except maby creating your own characters which if i was making the game this is something that would of been done,
The game has got a great storeyline that compliments explosive gameplay action, you can choose to play the storeyline with 4 different characters :- Briggs, Proof, Spider or Tank. while playing the game you earn money to improve your characters to help you fight you way through various fighters including 12 Def jam artists including DMX,WC,N.O.R.E, Redman and Metodman and many others. There are also many other made up characters in the storeymode who are fun to fight.
The game is also good because of the sound track from Def jam records including X gonna give it to yer.
The game also has 3 other game modes to enjoy and four match types so buy this game now!
