The idea behind create is very good. We've seen a lot of creation games in the past few years with Little Big Planet and Scribblenaughts and now EA are in on the action. It's also the first game of its kind to appear on the 360. The problem I have with Create is that it's not as free as it tries to make you believe, basically you take part in puzzles and you have to complete these puzzles using items that you have collected through previous puzzles, they start out very easy and quickly become brain testers and some of the custom made content is brilliantly difficult but besides these puzzles the game does not allow you to bend or shape the worlds you are given to play with and this is a little infuriating. Sure you can decorate the various worlds and make them more unique and more personal but it's nothing like the huge creation system in Little Big Planet. Create feels like it's somewhere between Little Big Planet and Scribblenaughts and fails to find an identity, it is a budget game by today's standards and it has come out at the right time, just before Xmas. It's a great game to play with the family or with friends but this is not as free as it could have been.
