a most excellent game 31 May 2005
This is one of those games that doesn't get the hype that other games do (like the dreadful Star Wars lego), that I had never heard of and just bought on spec. Now I have finally completed it, I have to say it is one of the best games ive ever played. Its similar to Lords of EverQuest, and also Warcraft, but much, much better.

I dont like writing about all of the strategy detailing, like the majority of the customers on this site, but I will say that the graphics and detailing are superb, the gameplay and storyline are brilliant, and, surprisingly, it's actually a difficult game to complete. Congratulations to EA for another top notch game.

An absolute must-have.

Could be better 27 Nov 2010
By Erik
Fun:
As other reviewers have mentioned the most frustrating thing about Armies of Exigo is the fact that the AI of your troops is virtually not present you find that you need ALOT of Micro management to prevent your troops from getting slaughtered on the enemies deferences, and that can be a bit annoying.
Another thing is that when you install the latest patch all your previous save games before that patch becomes useless REALLY annoying and something you could have hoped could have been avoided.

But other then that this is an excellent game well worth the money, the only pitty thing is that it could have been better if not for those flaws.

surprisingly good 24 May 2010
Fun:
This game really surprised me its not very original the plot and world could almost be taken straight from warcraft 3 but its a solid game that offers gameplay thats just like warcraft with updated graphics and some nice extras such as playing maps on two levels above and below ground. Overall its a great game that fans of fantasy RTS will enjoy.
