Well, I bought this so that I could improve my night cycling vision through Richmond (pitch black) Park on my winter commutes home from work. The first time I used it I was sure my ears were not deceiving me when an oncoming commuter cyclist shouted "stupid". It left me feeling quietly humiliated before convincing myself that he was one of those ridiculous cyclists that talk on a handsfree headphone set to some poor fellow on the other end. Two nights later whilst thinking 'this lamp does not seem to cast much light ahead' another oncoming female cyclist shouted "you're blinding me!" of course this confirmed my previous suspicions that I was the perpetrator of causing blindness through the intense luster of my Nano 9. So I acted promptly by dipping my light which has thankfully resulted in causing no further blindness and happily for me has lit the path ahead so much more clearly.
In conclusion I think this light allows you to be seen well but also, if dipped, provides you with the night vision even a carrot eating cat would find hard to beat!
On the slight downside the bracket fitting did not come with enough rubber washer (the washer is what allows the bracket, that the light attaches to, to fit snugly around the handlebars) luckily though I was replacing an old light bracket so was able to use some of the rubber washer from this one.
