Book Description

26 Mar 2012

This book has for many years been the standard guide to the practical aspects of domestic electrical wiring. It explains how to carry out work safely and correctly in a step-by-step manner.

Essential reading for anyone obtaining a Domestic Installer Scheme Qualification which relates to Part P of the Building Regulations, this title also acts as a handy pocket guide to best practice for electricians. Although not intended as a DIY manual, non-qualified persons will also find this book useful reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a keen DIY'er who'd 31 May 2013
By R Warne
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I am a very competent Diy'er who is in the process of putting a new kitchen in and I wanted to add some sockets, move the cooker cable and redo all the lighting etc.

Whilst I always intended getting a qualified Electrician in to check my work, I wanted to do of much of it as I can, what's the point of paying someone else to channel out walls and run cables etc.

This book is perfect and I'm delighted with it.

Purchased this to bring myself up to date with current wiring regulations without having to wade through mountains of irrelevant detail. Brian Scannlon does an excellent job of sorting out the wood from the trees, well worth the money.
