A very rare treat! 29 Mar 2008
Format:DVD
This is the only footage of the first ELO containing Roy Wood (other than the promo for 10538)and is an amazing record of the band in it's infancy. Great Balls of Fire is Hilariously over complicated with inappropriate orchestration whilst an early version of In Old England Town is also remarkable as Jeff just makes the words up as he goes along. Queen of the Hours has an extended guitar solo in the middle as is a fabulous version. What is wonderful about this re-issue of the original Rock review is that this one shows the complete performances all the way through. Any collector of ELO must get this as it's such an historical document of this great band, even if Jeff and Roy look like extras from a pantomime in it!

The DVD is sharp, indeed, only for the absolute fan ELO. Here in particular the beginnings are shown (in 1970-1973) to the group, in addition, with the bonus videos. I already had the DVD ` Inside ELO ` which is identical of the contents, up to 4 music videos. However, because of these rare admissions I have procured for myself the DVD. I own all albums ELO, the time from in 1970-1974 was for me, however, musically with the most interesting pieces.

Good overview of the history of early ELO, but I would like to see more of the preformances. Most of them comes in "bits and pieces" spread around the interviews.
