Product Description
This new electric water kettle is one of our most classic products. Two things have been left untouched, the IBIS effectiveness in bringing water to a fast boil and its typical oval shape designed to take up as little counter space as possible. The Bodum company got its start in Denmark in 1944, when Peter Bodum started a business wholesaling household products. Today, the Bodum brand, known for its innovative coffee press, as well as its tea makers, is still family-owned.

The IBIS is an attractive cordless electric kettle which has been designed by Bodum to fit tidily on your kitchen work top.
It comes in an array of colours - brown, red, grey, white, lime, purple, black or pink and holds 1.7 litres.
Its oval shape has been designed to take up as little counter space as possible. What's more you don't have to wait too long for your cuppa as it has a 1200 watt boil fast heater.

I used to own the previous version of this kettle (in pink) and was very sad when it died last summer. This new version is so much better, firstly it has a concealed element so it's much easier to clean and descale. Secondly the base is much stronger and the cord can be set to either side for ease of use.
The plastic it's made from is really sturdy and the purple colour is really deep and looks fabulous! This is a good quality kettle for a really good price, now I want the matching toaster!

What can you say about a kettle. It boils my water really well! Actually it is good. Sizeable capacity, lightweight and PURPLE to add a bit of brightness to the kitchen. The concealed element is a really good idea. Most of UK is hard water so it's easier to clean than other kettles.

Had this kettle for a while now and very happy with the look, speed of boiling,and ease of cleaning with concealed element. Only very minor criticism is that it can be a bit tricky to relocate on the stand so perhaps not ideal for elderly.

Simple, beautiful and functional

Purple is great!
