80`s classic film boy wants girl,girl already going out with a good looking guy,
enter edgar the computer,
with great music from human league and other ,you would be a fool to miss this fantastic film.

This film still warms the cockles of my heart. I remember buying the soundtrack on vinyl in that odd dust jacket as one of my first LP's.

Sure..... I remember the critics at the time saying it was just an extended bunch of pop videos for some of Virgin's artists, but it's still just some fun.

And of course it's dated not so well - 25 years after all. I challenge anyone to look at many of the films and TV shows of that era and say they haven't dated as it's inevitable.

Just get over it! The film is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face and it leaves you feeling good.

I've been waiting for years for this to become available and cannot wait to finally get in added to my collection alone with such other very fond memories of my teenage years.

JUST BUY IT AND ENJOY!!!!

blah blah blah from many people, big words like "dated", "bad 80s fashion", crash for "Virginia Madsen"

Hold your horses Gentlemen,
if you not like it, why waste 2 pages of writting against the movie? Maybe there is a emotional pin with this movie ? Maybe "crash" was not the issue with the co-star but with someone else who actualy liked the film?

Culture club ? I love them also, bad fashion from 80s ? Who in this movie have bad fashion (for the 80s or even now)? Maybe you confuse the "other" Electric Dreams ??? If you have fashion worries, stay away from Clockwork Orange, BarFly, Amadeus...

I can waste time to explain I also have a background on the industry and let you know of productions from 1927 to 1968 from directors that brought computers to life. (yes, 1927, any fashion remarks 'bout the period ?, any crash on the metal beauty?).

Back to the 80s: Well, I can find vurnable points of this film. I will not. You are missing the point.

I Love this Movie, PERIOD!!!

This movie fill my heart with sparks,
recomend to all 30+ that back to 80s got their hands dirty with a computer.

p.s. "Porkys" ??? This had a good taste on clothes fashion ? All i remeber was topless gals, drunk dudes and... topless drunk gals. Just a youth sex comedie for those who could not buy a beer or not allowed to step in a strip joint.

Porkys... duh!!! Where did you "dig-up" that man???
