I'm a gigging, recording and teaching drummer, and the Elacin ER20s are my standard hearing protection, and have been for several years now.
Comfortable to wear, long-lasting, with a handy cord keeping them together and allowing one to wear them around one's neck when not in use, they are very practical and, in my experience and for my purposes, do the job very well. One can adjust the degree of sound level reduction by varying how deeply in ones ears the plugs sit.
Pardon the graphic detail, but I think it's worth knowing this: I lubricate the plugs very slightly with a little moisture from my mouth (applied with the fingers!), to ease them in and out more comfortably. They will discolour with time, and eventually the wear and tear results in the flexible rubber 'cups' falling off (but this is after years of daily use), but they are cheap enough to replace regularly, and can be easily disassembled (the business-end unplugs from the cord) and regularly cleaned.
A brilliant highly effective and affordable product, and an essential tool for protecting your precious hearing, especially if you can't see your way to spending £150 + on 'bespoke' earplugs.
