Adriana Evan's third album "El Camino" is a great follow up to the very diverse "Nomadic" released 3 years earlier. It has a very cool and vibrant soulful feel to it, reminiscent of her self titled debut album recorded 10 years earlier. The songs are very uplifting and pleasant with simple but effective melodies that will remind you of sunny days and lying on the beach.
"Hey Now" and "All For Love" are feel good groovy tunes. The two highlights of the album are "Calling Me", a very catchy song with great arrangements and "Underneath The Stars", a lovely romantic track. "Before You" is another groovy and funky track. "Blue Bird" is a little more mellow and has a jazzy vibe and "Never Knew" has a slightly more atmospheric feel to it. "Same As I Ever Was" and "Undercover" are very pleasant funky tunes. "Blue Bird In Bahia" and "El Camino" are two simple Latin influenced tunes and are instrumentals with vocal harmonies.
Only "World On Fire", a reggae influenced track, is a little dull. The rest of the album is a ray of sunshine and includes many great moments. Another strong album by Adriana Evans and a must buy for her fans.
