The cd wasn't what I expected. I'd been hoping for a collection that showed off the bandoneon but in most of the tracks the instrument didn't play a leading role at all. The music was quite good of it's type but the title was misleading.

This is an essential collection of classics from the El Bandoneon archive. The versions here are not reworks, and so the so sound quality is not the best. But if you care about the history of tango and its music, this is one for your collection. For the dancers, most of the works here are for dancing, not just listening.
