Fitted with kick back protection and with mechanical quick-stop chain brake, the Einhell BGEC1840 is a good all-round chainsaw for tree or log cutting. This chainsaw has chromium chain with safety chipping teeth for the best clean cut, a chain bar with integrated guide sprocket, sturdy stop claws made of metal, an oil tank with gauge glass and an automatic chain lubrication system, so the chain will receive oil all the time the saw is in use. The protection case supplied with this Einhell chainsaw provides easy and safe transportation and is a good storage aid.

I brought this chainsaw for cutting up logs, some over a foot in diameter. It went through them with no trouble at all. The chain adjustment works very well, much better than my previous Black and Decker saw and it didn't cost much more.

I bought an electric chainsaw from Argos - and had to return it the very next day because the switch did not work. I could have got a replacement, but chose to go to Amazon and bought the Einhell BGEC 1840. It was delivered within 3 days and is an excellent piece of kit - very well made and very easy to use.
