This pre-school series introduces young children to world religions and focuses on the way the festival is celebrated today. There is detailed historical and cultural information at the end for parents and teachers.

I'm so pleased with not only this book, but the entire series. I am a godmother to a friend's son, which is odd considering I don't adhere to any particular religion. So instead of sending books on one religion, I send him books about all of them! Great fun. This book is a bit oversimplistic in that it leaves important stuff out, but it's certainly age appropriate and the pictures are appealing.

Nice Book Series on World Holidays! 30 Nov 2004
By Lynn Ellingwood - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book deals with Chaunukah in a simple nice way. It is a good introduction for the holiday for novices. I really like this series and own the books on Ramadan and Diwali also. Good for kids K-3.
