I think this is an excellent game for young ds players, age 4-10. It is so much fun for them to examine the animal, identify the problem and then treat it. You get to see the animal better afterwards and are told it can be takne back to it's enclosure. Very sweet. You also have to stroke the animal with the styuls if it becomes agitated when being treated.

Every time you cure an animal you earn a new breed for your zoo and medals etc. You get scored on how well you treated the animal so also earn achievement awards. Very educational as it describes each animal in detail and has some less usual breeds - my four year old is taking about Aye Aye and Platipus as if she has always known of these animals!

Great game.

My daughter has this game as she is in love with animals, and it is just the thing to get her busy! She Loves it, mostly because of the tasks you complete to find and get new animals for your zoo!!! Definately one of her faviroute games yet, even i have had a good go at it and love it already! All the different animals included in it are fantastic and it is quite realistic... I would definately recommend it to all viewers!!!

This game has great graphics! It gives you different animals to treat like bears and birds. You take care of them and try to make them happy and then you let them back into the wild! This game is great fun for all ages!

My 7 year old daughter played this at a friend's house and loved it so much she was desperate for us to get it for her. I don't really get that involved in playing Nintendo DSi but this game seems to have alot of fun as well as educational value such as looking after the animals when they are sick, giving them their operations etc - a bit like the pet nuturing games. Highly recommended.

I was really looking forward to this game but it wasn't as good as i had expected !
The tasks you had to complete were quite easy but on some time soon passed but then another animal needed treatment and after awhile you start becoming a little bored ! However it is an ideal game for beginners who like looking
after animals !

After initially buying my Nintendo DS for the brain training game, i finally decided to branch out and make the most of my DS and try other educational games. So I started with Zoo Hospital, mainly because i work at a vet school and hoped it would inspire me with some game ideas.

The game itself does teach you a little about animals, such as where animal behavior, characteristics and so forth, but the 'game play' itself was quite poor. I guess for me the enjoyment i get from games are the challenges and in this game you just go round in circles treating animals, with no real narrative or goals.

My only intention to pursue with this game was because i wanted to see if anything happened once i won all the medals but unfortunately not, i found this game more enduring that anything else. So in terms of game play i don't rate it very high, and for educational value i would give it a 4/10, but then again if you wanted to learn about animals i feel a book might be better.

This is a dull game, but to be fair I think I am way to old to appreciate this. I was board to tears after a couple of minutes and will never get far - I just can't be bothered. I may see if my 8 year old nephew likes it, but i doubt he will.
