Firstly if you buy this game and it is unsealed, don't worry, it's meant to be unsealed, for some reason Eidos games tend to remain unsealed.

The story is you are Nick Mason a one man army for T-Zero (there are other members, but it's all about Nick Mason) in what is a typical saccharin sweet American game. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, it's just a bit stereotypical to say the least. You have to take down the Burner gang that is destroying the city. Cue lots of violence, swearing and extremely irritating taunts the most annoying being the Burners that shout "Die Mason" as if they are singing it (just listen to the way they say it and hold the word 'die' for a few moments). Alot of the others sound like they are shouting playground taunts. Generally the Burners are just annoying, but the one that is a bit creepy is the one that slices you with a chainsaw, it's not helped by the Jason Voorheesesque masks they all wear, they add to the faceless creepiness they all have.

The sound is good and clear, the graphics are quite bright, but nothing spectacular. The gameplay is easy to master and the weapons are excellent, especially the upgraded taser, giving you the option to incapacitate them or fry them. What is annoying about this game is allies walking in front of your guns while you are shooting the enemy and having to rescue civilians with a time limit. Not to mention having to be accompanied on certain missions can be annoying as they tend to attract the enemies firepower, even though the ally is essential for that particular mission.

Elements of this game reminded me of XIII, which is a good thing.

this is a good solid fps, the gameplay is fun and challenging!

where other games have lacked certain mechanics in say headshots urban chaos makes of point of getting it right by challenging you to get a certain number for a medal on each level!

Loads of unlockables which help at the game progresses, also a cool selection of weapons, from nail bombs to dual submachine guns! to a stun gun all of which u earn upgrades for, and your riot shield is indespensable!

brilliantly fun game to play

give 4.5 outta 5 btw but thats not an option on the rating system

I remember this game from when I had it, back before the PS3 came on the market. As it is, it's a very fun and even at times, funny game in that sick sadist way. You play as a police officer working for a new response team, created to tackle the growing chaos in the city known at T-Zero which stands for "Tolerance Zero" as unlike police games like SWAT 4, you don't have to ask questions. You see a bad guy, you shoot him, but that's not all. You start out with a pistol, but as you unlock escort missions and complete them you get authorised for new equipment such as grenade belts (you start with Riot grenades in your missions), new weapons such as a combat shotgun and a assault rifle and even upgrades for all those weapons, even your pistol.

As I said, this is zero tolerance in this game so if you see a maniac throwing meat cleavers at you, you can pick them up and hurl them back at the enemy. Same with Molotov Cocktails and Nail Bombs. You get awarded medals for awards such as x number head-shots, x number non-lethal takedowns, time and finding all the evidence in the form of masks. It was one of those few PS2 games that also had internet access, but I never used the PS2 internet and I didn't know how to use it so I can't commend on what the online multiplayer was like.

I will tell you this however, as you can also re-visit past missions with the upgraded equipment this game is filled with hours of fun. I just wish the special missions weren't escort missions which, in almost every game, are irritating. Especially when the person you escort, like in 80% of those instances, is a non-combatant you have to protect and on top of that there is a time limit to get the guy to the extraction point.

I dont usually write reviews but I picked up Urban Chaos yesterday and ended up playing it till 4am! It's the most fun I have had with a first person shooter in ages. This game is really good fun - not just another bland and souless shooter. It's very violent but that just adds to the satisfaction, it is a shooter after all. The riot shield totally changes the way I played the game too, it makes it so much more fun. I have not seen the multiplayer yet but even without playing it I would recommend Urban Chaos to anyone that likes a good fun shooter.

A decent game you play as a police office trying to kill or arrest people in what look like people in masks running around with axes and ect.

The plot has you going to save people, to this is a downside effect that I personally hate on this game

*when you get hit you knocked back and woddle off guard meaning your aim is always off so you need to make aim again
*I used to play this a lot but when you get to the final level they's nothing more you can do with it and finding all awards
*levels are struction like a maze you have to find a way out sometimes with a timer a big thing is it can sometimes confuse the user of where to go since all rooms look like the same

A flashy fps that can please anyone just give it a go
