As well as the tightening up of the game engine, which allows the game to run slightly faster on the Xbox, there are new stats, a control system adapted for the console and numerous diverting, new features have been added for the Xbox release. For instance, you can choose not to know lots of information about a player until you've scouted them, you can compare players, the new transfer system has been implemented and heck, you can even issue an ultimatum to the board.
As with most Championship Manager improvements, none of these change the game dramatically, but they do add to the depth and realism that has won the franchise the widespread support it enjoys today. It's still as utterly engrossing as ever, and liable to keep you addicted to your Xbox for hours at a time. Those who like the football management games devoid of mountains of stats as ever are advised to steer clear. But for the hundreds of thousands of fans of the series, this is yet another polished, enjoyable new edition of the game. Still without a quality competitor, it looks set to conquer another format. --Simon Brew

Championship manager, a true managerial experience.,

Championship manager is the most realistic football management game that has ever been made. the game is so addictive and you will never get bored of it, you get the chance to test your wits against the best of the best and try and take your favourite team to europe or a higher league, you can do everything that the real managers have to do, buy and sell players, fine players, ask your board for more money, control your reserve team, scout the world for the next michael owen or rivaldo. there is the chance for you to manage teams all around the world aswell, from england to brazil. this is a must buy game for any true football fan that fancies themselves as a manager.

Once again the championship manager series proves to be the best. The database on this game is quite frankly incredible. Literally if you know a proplayer whos not in this please tell me. Although this is fantistic my dad tells me pc version is exacly the same. But then again i've been hearing the database editor doesn't work very well on the P.C version, which is a major plus so you don't need to buy a new version every season. Another plus point is the life span of this game. I've literally found a new state of living. You could just sit and play this game for donkys year with just a couple of pizzas and a bottle of coke. To be honest and know if there are any sound effects because i'm deaf but it doesn't really make a diffrence to the quality of this game.

Worth the wait? YES,

I've been after this game since it was announced for the Xbox, as Unfortunately i'm working away from home, so carting around my PC isn't much of an option. All the features of the PC version are here as far as i've seen (20hrs in) & nice touches are the sidebar that is activated using the black button, and the controls become second nature when trying to alter tactics & view stats in mid game. Only grouch points i can find is that you are only able to have extra leagues running, unlike the PC versions. Also the fact that there is a white button icon on the screen that can be clicked by accident too many times whilst watching the stats in a running game. Ohterwise the sounds are fine, & i don't know if it runs true for other teams, but as Liverpool, you hear the fans chant the team name. All in all, if you don't have a PC, or are unable to use the PC (like me, working away), then buy it, if you own a PC, you can pick up the same version for a lot less.
