If you have palyed and enjoyed Championship manager, whenit was made by si games and eidos DO NOT BUY THIS... i was looking forward to this because owning an xbox the last version which was available was a couple of years ago and it needed updateing so along came CM5 yippee i whent and bought it loaded it up and started to play WHAT A LET DOWN i tried to get in to it i gave it couple of days play but still wanted the refined feel of the old version...this game is to clumsy in all aspects especially the 2d game. I have sold this game back to the shop (making a big loss) and instead upgraded my PC and gone out and bought sigames/segas FOTBALL MANAGER the real McCoy...

Rubbish 20 Oct 2005
By A Customer
Very very busy screen. Theyv'e tried to cram as much information on to the screen as possible rather than scrolling down the screen. This has resulted in really small text, that it is very difficult to read. Player comparison is also effected as this is also much smaller, and the colour of the comparison numbers has changed. I found that this change prevented me from being able to distinguish between the colours, and hence not being able to identify the better players. I bought this game new and sold it a week later. I'm back to playing the 02/03 version, and can't wait for the launch of Football Manager 2006 on the XBox 360.

i was looking forward to this game being released. i bought it as soon as it did but have to say i was very disapointed. the only good thing about it is the up-to-date transfers but for some reason loaned players are not on-loan they are signed permanantly. The writing is far too small. I think they forgot its not PC so you will not be right in front of the screen. I had to lean forward all the time. The worst thing about it however is the match engine. Manager games are for the PC. If you feel like a manager game, football manager 2005 is youe best bet.(January transfers not included)
