beautiful patterns 19 Sep 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
As an avid stitcher I have a lot of needlepoint books and I'm always on the lookout for new ones. I ordered this book on somewhat of a whim though as I have had problems with Ehrman kits in the past and found their shop unhelpful. However, I'm glad that I overlooked this because the book is probably one of the nicest needlepoint books I have in my collection. If you like floral patterns then it has these in abundance including some lovely old traditional designs based on Berlin work. All the patterns are by well known and established designers and they are all printed in colour. There are a few modern designs thrown in but if like me you love traditional florals then this could be for you. My only criticism is that some of the charts are in small print so if you have any trouble with your eyes you may need to enlarge them on a colour copier. Anyway I would very much reccommend it!

This book is by far my favourite needlepoint book! With both traditional and contemporary designs it satisfies all tastes with remarkable clarity and originality. The designs are clear with an interesting description of both design and designer. In my opinion, a must for every bookshelf.
