About the Author
Claudia is a practising Egyptian Witch and has written about her religion to share her spirituality with others. Her hobbies include aromatherapy, herbalism and astrology. She is a member of the American Philatelic Society and currently lives in Arizona. She has written the fascinating Egyptian Love Spells and Rituals.

This book is not written as an accurate history - and does not claim to replicate the magical rituals used by the Ancient Egyptians - therefore it cannot be judged as such. It is written by a Wiccan who worships Egyptian deities, describing her own practice, and as such is quite a personal work. The author shares her experiences and what she has learned, so that the reader can follow a similar path to hers if they so choose. The title may suggest that this volume contains no more than quick-fix love spells but this is far from the case - there are useful tables of correspondences, lists of Ancient Egyptian names and their meanings, information on Egyptian deities, and more.

Love spell book for people who are already lovers?

While I agree that even the spiciest of marriages and long term partnerships needs to be spiced up here and there, I don't understand the point of devoting a good bit of a book on love spells to attracting someone who is already attracted to you.
I was expecting spells involving just myself aimed at whoever I would want to attract. In this case it would be my husband, however how much more fun could you get than not letting the person know you're doing the spell, and then watching the results? :)
There are spells in this book with that intent, however not as many as I had hoped.
There are also spells for the sick and for the dead, which really were important in ancient Egyptian culture, however may not be important (or expected) by today's reader. It's good to look through the table of contents of this book prior to purchasing to make sure you are interested in the material and would find it useful.
