Format:Audio CD
I found this CD to be really helpful for relaxation. Track 2 is a 10 minute relaxation session, like meditation, and I try to do it daily in preparation for my home birth. It really does work and has helped me bond with my unborn baby already, and is a great way to get rid of pre-birth anxiety. Pricey, but worth it.

I got the Self Hypnosis CD three weeks before my 2nd planned home birth and oh how I wish I had found it during my first pregnancy! It is just brilliant! It helped me relax every time I couldn't fall asleep at night or just needed a short "power nap" during the day. And it definitely helped me with breathing through contractions once the labour kicked in - I put it on my iPhone and listened to it on the headphones. I gave birth within 2 hours of the midwives arriving to assess me (I was 4cm) and everyone (including myself!) was amazed how calm and in control I was the whole time!:) It was a truly wonderful experience! I found this great for relaxing while I was pregnant, and I too used to fall asleep which I took as a good sign!!
Although during the birth of my baby I couldn't really concentrate on putting into practise the pain relief techniques (it all happened too quickly!!) I do believe that because I used it regularly throughout my pregnancy I was so relaxed that when the midwife examined me (and at this point I didn't really know whether I was in labour or not) I was already 3-4 cms dilated!! Throughout the very quick labour (only about 2 hours of real pain) I very much felt in control and had a thoroughly positive experience with my baby arriving calmly into my living room.
I will definitely use this again if I have more children and would highly recommend it. Relaxation throughout pregnancy and childbirth is the way to go!!! Good luck!!!

Great tool
Really good CD, only listened to a couple of times so far, but really impressed. I still have some time to go but am hoping it will really help with a natural birth.
