A major poet 17 Dec 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
In this review William Cooke skilfully arranges Thomas's poems in chronological order. So we see his development from the early poems of 1914 such as Up in the Wind through his agonies as he debates with his conscience about following his friend and mentor Robert Frost to the U.S through to his last poem Out in the Dark. If this book sparks your interest. Then I'd recommend Under Storms Wing The memoirs of his wife Helen written after his tragic death at Arras in 1917
