Edward J. (Ned) Swan, is a lawyer, writer, and photographer who was raised in New England, but has lived most of his life in New York, Paris and London.
He is Partner in the London law firm of Elborne Mitchell LLP where he advises on financial services regulation and energy law, and chairs conferences on energy law. Dr. Swan has been a Visiting Professor on the Faculty of Law of University College London where he originated and taught the LLM Course on Regulation of Financial Markets and taught courses on Banking and Securities Law. He has published many books and articles on financial services and energy law, and regularly lectures on those subjects. He has been a member of the New York Bar since 1976, and practices in London as a Registered Foreign Lawyer.
He also publishes books of his poetry and photography, and regularly performs his poetry in London--most often at the Open Mike Tuesday Nights at the Poetry Cafe on Betterton Street, Covent Garden.
