You get just what is described - in a white box with no info. at all, true, but plug in the cable and good quality sound can be recorded, even with my somewhat amateur laptop iBook G4 running SoundStudio. There is a User Manual available for download on the makers website; I checked this in advance to confirm that it is Mac-friendly, which it certainly is. Simply plug and play (set the Systems Preferences under 'Sound' to confirm input from the mic, and adjust the required sensitivity from there). Delighted with the result.

Amazing microphone, the quality of sound that this USB Microphone produces is outstanding and in my opinion the best USB microphone available. I've tried and tested the snowball, yeti, c03u, at2020 and by the SL150 is the best. for £79.99 its a steal!

Where do I even start with this microphone, it's just brilliant! Clear and crisp sound from such a cheap condenser mic. After the purchase of this condenser I also bought a mic stand and a pop filter just to increase the versatility of the microphone, for both it cost me around £22. Don't think twice about this microphone, in my opinion it's the best on Amazon at the moment from the price range £1-£200. Just a quick note I have been using this on a 21.5 inch iMac with Garageband and it works perfectly fine, also it states on the box it's compatible with MAC, PC, Linux and Universal.

It performs great.
I use it in three areas: Voice dictation, Screencast narration and recording music.
I've only had it under a week so far, but already it has saved me lots of time by reducing the number of errors I used to experience using a voice dictation software. The software performs so much better with this studio mic.
I also use it when voicing over on screencasts for elearning, before there was just a slight discerning background noise (not noticable when I was speaking, but when I had stopped speaking it was there) now clear as a bell. Prior to this I used a fairly good jack plug mic and it did a job, but for the reasons stated above this has been an excellent choice, well worth the money.
I've not had the time to use it for recording music yet. But one thing the SL 150 has over other mics is that it is not a desk top mic, you use a mic stand and this makes it more versitile for using when standing etc.

Very good mic that worked well with Windows 7. However, since upgrading my computer to Windows 8.1 this is the only device that will not work; the mic's driver (which is built-in) states it's 'up-to-date' but checking the Windows Device Manager it says ' Failed to load, code 10 error' - i've tried different USB cables; installed/uninstalled the drivers multiple times etc, but to no avail.
After checking the Editors Keys website, it clearly states this mic will work with Windows 8. So having contacted them they provided me with the standard trouble shooting advice (which I already read from their website). They said that I would need to contact my System provider (i.e. Lenovo) to get advice from them - I'm sure Lenovo would charge for this!
Anyhow, I've given up on this mic, it's an expensive piece of kit just to use a couple of times, only to find the driver won't work. When it did work, it was fantastic.

Don't know how much the radio stations pay for their mics but this one makes you sound perfect. My son uses it for making Youtube videos, voice-overs and just talking to his mates. It's cumbersome, though and not as handy as having a headset on if you're not bothered about the quality. But if you're into video making and have the right editing software (I use PowerDirector) then this mic makes you sound great. It's a USB straight in to the computer and off you go. If you want to use it as a karaoke mic it's no good unless you have a USB karaoke machine and the a USB mic CANNOT connect to a jack input.
So if you have a video camera with a 3.5 external mic jack it will not work with it.

First off, i studied for about 2 months into what condenser microphone was going to be best to buy for a music recording purpose.
And i can honestly say that my time spent researching was worth the wait, Quick delivery and the shock mount and case are superb.

Only had a slight issue fitting it to a standard mic stand but within 2 minutes of thought, i worked out where it must go.

Using logic 9 and this mic is basically priceless, your not installing anything at all (automatically picked up by windows / mac) and your ready to rock.

I bought the pop shield from editors keys too, and as a pair, when using logic's effects - your recording through something that sounds Flip off expensive. Its beautifully designed and at the price, well ............... your on this webpage because your looking for a relatively cheap USB (or not) condenser mic,and congratulations - You've found it ! And you can have my word this will not just impress yourself, but it will help you impress the world.

No feedback/background but far too sensitive for use on Skype or to record anything with noise besides speaking. Overall rather disappointed.
