...when you get this item go onto the Edimax web site and download the latest driver.

The installation disc gives a load of uneccesary trouble and confusion.

Simply - Plug the Edimax in and then run the download file (***.exe)

.... 2 minutes later ...you're up and running....

Works well ..good strong wireless connection going through 2 walls....

Having first downloaded the latest software for this product on a friend's PC (as recommended by other users) the installation was straight forward. The computer I installed it on runs Windows XP so I was slightly concerned it wouldn't work but apart from the odd problem with XP allocating unworkeable Dynamic I/p addresses from time to time (an XP Fault) it has been fine. It gets a strong wireless signal but Note I had to use the supplied flexible arm to get a strong signal, as my wireless router is located more than a couple of rooms distant.

Had one of these, had to give it to some one else so this is my replacement.

Just doesn't work for me on Win 7 64bit

The driver on the CD fails to detect any networks using WPA2, the updated driver from the chipset manufacturer Ralink [...] isn't much better in that it detected and connected to my wireless network once...... but since my machine went to sleep(yes I have adjusted the power saving option to leave the device on) it again fails to detect any networks at all. I've uninstalled and resinstalled the drivers multiple times and it's the same thing every time.

In summary the worst network adapter I have ever bought.
