I was looking for a stylish watch for everyday use and found it in this Casio EFM-501D-1AVEF.
It shows the time and (small) date numeral. It also has stopwatch function, but my main need was for a simple straightforward watch that just tells the time!

Don't be misled by Amazon's Product Description that mentions "The Wave Ceptor range is one of the first radio controlled watches in the UK market" - it has nothing to do with this watch and, of course, as the specification shows this watch does not belong to the WaveCeptor range.

I really wanted a more expensive watch and pondered over the Edifice range for ages because they had the look and appeal but i thought i would be disappointed with the quality - i was very wrong. This is a fantastic watch, nice weight, great looks and a fantastic price. If you are like me and wondering ....... don't you wont be disappointed.

It's a Casio Edifice.. Which means its the luxury branch of Casio watches. Ad you can tell as soon as you hold it or place it on your wrist. It feels heavy, and expensive and looks like it costs 4 times the price you paid for it.

In summary, this is a great watch, for the price it looks 4 times as expensive than it actually is, and has great features.. Plus it's a 200m waterproof divers watch! What more do you want!

I can't fault CASIO watches and for the price they really can't be beaten. This watch has the look and feel of those that are over 10 times the price, having owned a TAG previously I'm more than happy with this as a replacement. The bezel has a solid click feel when moved and the overall build quality of the watch is excellent.

Having one 'Edifice' in collection was looking for another practical 'every day' watch. This one looked ideal and not disappointed on receiving. Good weight, clear features. VERY impressed. Very good value for money.

I have owned probably the best divers watch in the world for the last 40 years - a Rolex Submariner. Because of the massive costs to service this and the fact that ii is now very valuable I have retired it and needed a quality replacement. Because of the good press Casio have had and my own good experience with their products over the years I decided to go for the Edifice. What a fantastic piece of kit - beautiful to look at and very well made.

I have seen lots of reviews for this watch one of which actually criticised the watch because the new owner couldnt set the time! To be fair not many watches have the winder screwed to the crown, and nowhere in the advertsing blurb does it say that it is - which I would have thought would be a big positive. Of course the Rolex does have a similar arrangement - probably the first watchmaker to do this.

So bottom line if you dont first unscrew the winder from the body ( a bit like a submarine hatch) the winder does not pop up for you reset the time and and date.

This is a brilliant watch for the money - fits very comfortably on the wrist and easy to adjust. If you are wondering whether you should buy this one or some other watch don't deliberate any longer - BUY THIS ONE. You will not be disappointed

This is quite a heavy, chunky watch - but this is what I was looking for. A previous review mentioned not being able to turn the knob to change the time, and we had this problem at first, until we read the instructions! On some models you have to give the knob a little twist first (I haven't described it very well here, as it's my husband who did it, but it's fully explained in the instructions).
Over all a hit, and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

the watch is very well made, and nice looking but be warned:the chronograph isn't measuring time up to 1/20th of a second, but to one second(I was worried that I got a faulty piece).you can find that information only in manual, even the casio site says it's 1/20th.one star off for false advertising.
