This is the fourth book in this series, and is Sean McClouds story. Sean's twin brother Kevin had died fifteen years ago, it is the anniversary of Kevin's death a day each year that Sean go off the rails. His brothers Davy, Conner and their friend Seth, tend to watch over him at this time, the previous night Sean had gotten drunk and picked up a couple of women and gone back to their place, waking the next morning with a raging hangover and not knowing where he was he wandered out onto the street only to be confronted the the sight of his two brothers and Seth waiting for him. After receiving the usual lecture from the threesome he knew that his behaviour was out of order and that they worried plus add in the freaky dreams he had where Kevin came to him, he understood their concern that he was losing it. It was also fifteen years since he had seen or spoken to the girl he had fallen in love with Liv (Olivia Endicott) he had told her to get lost not that he had wanted to but Kevin had warned him at the time she was in danger, he would never forget the look on her face from that day. Now suddenly after fifteen years she had returned back to her home town, she was on the local news someone had burned down the brand new bookstore she had just opened. Unable to resist he drives over with Miles in tow, Miles had been befriended by the three brothers and was their computer expert. Seeing Liv again brought back all those feelings he had kept hidden.Liv had been receiving threatening e-mails and now her new bookstore was in charred ruins, and seeing Sean McCloud turn up just rattled her even more.
This is a rip roaring story just like it's predecessors Sean was considered the best looking of the three brothers and a womaniser, he attracted then like a magnet, but he has never forgotten Liv, she is the daughter of the towns most wealthiest family and had never been in love until Sean McCloud and then to be so crulelly rejected by him, now suddenly after fifteen years he is back in Her life throwing his weight around. Both leads were likeable the love scenes are the hottest of the books so far, the story is exciting and keeps the reader turning the pages, as usual the bad guys are really bad and menacing. Another great read from this author.
