Long ago, there was a secret society of wizards whose sole purpose was to protect the innocent from evil at any cost. They were forced to hide themselves. Soon, normal people forgot about wizards and stopped believing in magic. Today, the three Edge brothers (Gabriel, Caleb, and Duncan) carry on the legacy. They are special operatives with the secret paranormal branch of T-FLAC. This is Caleb's story.
Caleb is still recovering from a serious injury. Unable to stand being idle, he convinces his boss, Lark, to give him a minor task and help break the monotony. Caleb is assigned to find out the location of Brian Shaw, international banker to some of the biggest terrorist groups in the world. Shaw disappeared, along with money belonging to over twelve terrorist groups, about a year ago. T-FLAC has found Heather Shaw, the banker's daughter, in San Francisco under a different name. Caleb is to meet Heather, convince her to trust him, find out where her father is hiding, and report in his whereabouts. Problem is that Heather won't, or can't, help him.
Heather has no idea why her father told her to disappear until he contacted her to say it was safe. Taking his advice to heart, she is now hiding in plain sight. She is learning to stand on her own two feet. No servants, not using any of her bank accounts or credit cards, modest apartment, and even earning her way by creating custom jewelry for customers. When Caleb bumps into her life, literally, everything changes.
**** This is the middle Edge brother. His special talent is time travel. The author adds a twist to this story early on, having Heather become pregnant by Caleb. Of course, the unborn child is male. He is also a wizard. Mommy's little boy for sure! Since this happens early in the story, it's no secret/spoiler, and it is vital to the plot. More than that, I can't say. Simply take my word when I say that I was in no way disappointed with this episode of the Edge brothers. Drama, drama, drama! ****
