this is another in the sean dillon series and has added more flesh to his bones.jack higgins allows you to enjoy this story even if you have not read any other of the series.but if you have that lovable rogue is back and this time you cant even hate the villian as he tries to do the right thing even if its wrong. read this book and enjoy and go and find the others in the series if you are hooked by the end you wont be able to to stop till you read them all and like me won't be able to wait for the next

As an avid Higgins reader, I eagerly awaited his new title. The reappearance of old favourites such as Sean Dillon and Brigader Ferguson made the book easy to get into and the action from the very first page set the scene for a trademark Higgins confrontation.
Although not as enjoyable as Higgins' classics such as 'The Eagle has Landed', this book was certainly worth a read and added yet another thrilling volume to the Higgins collection.

Up to now, I have enjoyed almost all of the Higgins books, although they have tended to become more samey recently. I was particularly disappointed by Edge Of Danger. The tired old characters of Dillon, Ferguson etc are dragged out again for this entirely predictable, highly contrived and unbelievable yarn. The plots have all been used before, and if you've read any two other Dillon books you'll be able to guess the next line throughout. I bought it to read on the plane - was bored by check in and had finished it long before boarding. Give this one a miss.

Don't waste your money on this!
Higgins has defnintely lost it. An unlikely plot, performed by the same cardboard and improbable characters with enough immagination and flare to fill and very small thimble. Read more
