I joined the Diplomatic Wireless Service (DWS) in January 1965. The then Principal Signals Officer was Edgar Harrison. Edgar was a quiet man but very much the boss in those days. For the next 7 years he was to dictate my life by posting me to India, Vietnam (during the war) and finally Addis Ababa. So, having read "The Secret Wireless War" by the same author - a detailed account of communications during and after WWII and later about my old department, i was delighted to discover this book on Edgar.
Apart from being a good read, it is an accurate account of this boy from the valleys of South Wales and his larger than life adventures. I thoroughly recommend it to you!
