Pros
I have been using this book for while now and really find the vast number of exercises helpful. There is lots of content, the book is colourful and well laid out.
Cons
The answers are on a website and tricky to find.
Some of the answers are incorrect and some of the exercises have mistakes in them which result in them having more than one answer or no possible answer.
The number of examples is either famine or feast.
The examples do not always adequately prepare you for the questions.
Overall:
The pros outweigh the cons and I do not regret purchasing the book but its important you bear them in mind.

Excellent coverage of the IGCSE specification (alongside Book 1) with differentiated questions for those aiming at C/B or A/A*. Despite what previous reviewer says, the book does come with a CD-Rom, which provides answers to all odd-numbered questions. Full answers to all questions in the book are also available as a PDF on the Edexcel website.

With both my daughter and son being home-schooled over the past few years, I have used many IGCSE publications, but I have found these publications to be the most helpful and comprehensive. They cover the latest specification(from 2009) and are pleasing to use with their bright, modern style.
Each book does come with a CD-Rom (attached on the inside back cover)and the answers to all the question can be accessed via Edexcel's website by selecting 'resources'.
There are plenty of practice exercises, with exercises aimed at A/A* students clearly marked with a star*.
The only drawback is that you have to buy the two books (Student Book 1 and Student Book 2) which can be a little costly, but at least you do not have to waste money buying any further study tools. I have also found a few incorrect answers given(but then I have found this to be a problem with ALL maths text books).
