For anybody taking Edexcel Chemistry at AS-level, this book is a must-have. The standard issue NAS books (those skimpy green things) are awful: they are full of incoherent detail and poor explanations. This book, by George Facer, is clear and concise and sticks exactly to the Edexcel AS syllabus. I appreciated how the book was organised in sections which complemented the syllabus, making revision effective and easy. George Facer uses model-answer definitions and provides down-to-earth and easy-to-understand explanations of all the key concepts. The sample questions and mock exams are perfect and accurate of the actual difficulty found within the exam papers. The full colour and user-friendly layout make this the best Chemistry book produced. Boost your AS grade and get this book!

Very useful for EdExcel AS level. Everything you need to get an A, but best combined with a revision guide, as it is quite heavygoing in places. Worth every penny.

The topics are laid out very well.
The explanations are detailed and easy to understand,
yet very concise and kept to what is important.
The design is great too; and the questions are challenging.
The only downside to it is that the answers to the question
should have been included in the book. (They're in a separate textbook).
Other than that, I highly recommend it. It's probably the best
Edexcel AS Chemistry book that you can find.

Excellent.

Looking at the book it seems small, which it is. Throughout the book it lacks clear information. The explanations are far too short, and assumes you already know stuff. Read more

Good book, NO CD!!!!!
Moving on from how great the book is blah blah... I did not recieve a CD with it, whereas when i ordered it for my friend she did get a CD with it. Read more
