I'm a beginner skater and having just started doing two foot spins, I discovered that I have a big problem with dizziness. The spinner is helping me get used to sensation of spinning, along with helping me hold my body straight. Hopefully this will help eliminate the windmill arms!
The spinner itself is made from solid plastic. The top is completely flat, where the bottom has a curved rocker. The instructions say to use bare feet but I prefer to use socks. I did have a go with shoes, but I wouldn't recommend that at all. One thing to state.. don't push off/round hard or you'll end up flying off. There's very little friction so for a more controlled spin, less is more. Another good point is that the spinner moves with you, so you can know if you have a centred spin or not.
Skaters are very divided over spinners, with some saying that they don't replicate the spinning motion on the ice. For my purposes though, it's perfect for working on the dizzyness and body position. I'm very glad I took the plunge and got mine.
I ordered this on a wednesday and got it on the friday without using next day delivery im so impressed with how quick it got here, the product itself is amazing too its lightweight and perfect for practising your skating spins! Very impressed x
Love it. My dizziness is starting to go and I'm finding the sweet spot better for spins and it seemed to help on the ice too. Have to fight my daughter for it though and unfortunately she's better than i am.
