If you want to store a quite a number of eggs in a very small place then try this - I bought a second.

This egg holder looks like a great idea and especially if you want to know which are the newest eggs - but if you take from the bottom it becomes very unstable. It's not the stablest even when put together very tightly. It's just a little too tall to fit under our kitchen cabinet - and not particularly low or anything. The hook at the top is probably to enable you to hold it securer.
But the biggest problem with it is that the hoops for the eggs are quite wide diameter. So you need to crimp them smaller with a vice or mole grips (which worked with effort) but then you still worry about perching smaller eggs in the high holes incase they fall through. (we have our own hens so they come in all sizes)
All in all it is like idea, but not good for eggs which are after all delicate and need to be held reliably.

I love this item it's funky and funtional ! A little pricey but worth the extra. Excellent quailty and easy to assemble.

Eddingtons Spiral 12 cup egg holder
This item was bought as a present and has been very well received indeed. Being fairly upright it takes up very little room and holds a full dozen eggs.
