Description:
The Eddingtons Compost Pail has been designed
on a old fashion house retro dustbin, lid too.
The pail has a nearly a 4 1/2 litre body.It also
comes with a handy handle for easy lifting but,the
best part of this kitchen pail is,it`s carbon filters
inside the stainless steel lid, which work brilliantly!
Performance:
We cook fresh food a lot in our house so,
this pail sees a lot of composting action.
Now,I don`t know if the majority or the
minority of reviewers are using any sort of
Biodegradable & Compostable bags in this pail,
I would personalty never use it without them
(we use;8 Litre Cornstarch Biobag Food Waste
Caddy liner 90 Pack - 100% Biodegradable &
Compostable),which are excellent,just make
sure you change the bag as soon as the pail is
full. When I say full, try not to full the pail
to the very top, just a centimetre or so below
the top will/should stop the top from rusting,
ours is not to bad after more than nine months,
just a "little" bit of rust on the inside of the
pail & not the lid(not yet any ways).
Have already bought replacement carbon filters
but, have not needed them yet(not sure how long
the filters are suppose to last),the original
filters are still doing a very fine job on
smells & odors, this is where this pail seems to
excel. If you have had food in the pail for a long
time & it`s composting,as long as your filters
are fresh enough, you`ll only know about the com-
posting when you open the lid.......Excellent.
Sum:up:
If your after a retro stylish kitchen pail that
does a very good job at filtering out smells &
unpleasant odors, this is it..with the biodegradable
& compostable bags,this is "Highly Recommended",5 Stars.
I hope this review has been helpful, thank you for reading.
P.S.One last thing, make sure the pail is bone dry before
you put in a replacement Biodegradable & Compostable bag!

This item is still performing to the high standards stated
earlier.
I do have a good tip for anyone who does get any sort of rust
(as we did because,we left it too long before changing the
Biobag Food Waste bag, work, live, etc.),when washing use a soap
filled scouring pad,not revolutionary I know.
After using one, kitchen pail came up a teat(in fairness we didn`t
let it get too bad though, honest!).
