I have always been afraid of maths and econometrics, with no good reason to be honest. I have just skimmed through the book and am quite impressed with the thorough texture of it. It has the depth of a text that is required to meet the needs of graduate and postgraduate studies and also handy for serious researchers who sometimes find themselves on a road hump of getting stuck in huge data sets. For students, I'd recommend to have the authors "Introduction to Econometrics" and the newer edition "Introduction to Econometrics: A modern Approach" close by, in case they find some of the discussions more advanced. A must have, I would rather say!
