The Ecobutton does 'what it says on the tin'. The first time I put my computer to sleep with the Ecobutton, I was rather anxious, as it was clear that something fundamental and deep-rooted was happening. However, it was straightforward for my pc to recover from sleep and return to Windows.

This gaget didn't work on "Windows XP" so I have given it to a jumble sale, you can save the same amount of energy by putting your computer on standy when you are not useing it.

This is a very slick little device which does what it says at a very low cost. I've found no problems in use, though it does of course take up one USB slot. The lead is quite long, which lets you position thew button pretty much where you like. An excellent idea for saving power without causing undue delays in restarting.
