Not realy had a good test but it does work, put it down and was the only area that was frost and snow free{light frost/very light snow}I do doubt that it will last for 48 hours due in part to the rain washing it away, which lets face it in winter this is going to happen. It seems to turn to a liquid as there are large frost free areas with no pelets visable and no frost/snow,its ok but expensive compared to a bag of grit/salt.
As with everything i buy to get ready/prepared for winter we have so far seen very little of the promised wintery weather so i will update the first chance we get bad weather, but so far im not impressed, grit will do what this does far cheaper and if your smart you can get your grit free buy ringing the council.
UPDATE
Have to say we had some snow 2 inch and this stuff ate it up,ice also very quickly, but due to it being a pelet it does leave areas untouched, the most remarkable stuff
is the powdered pelet residue that you find at the bottom of the tub it gets rid of snow in seconds ice to,in my opinion they should make it in a powdered form its far more effective.
In short I would get some of this stuff only if your in really hard hit areas and then save it for when you want to get rid if the ice that is left behind its great for that but i still think its too expensive for the tub you get compared to grit ...having said that ive ordered 2 more tubs. 4 stars, up from 3 stars
