Product Description

Use the force! The wind keeps it shut. The Ecoflap is a patented design that ensures which ever way the wind is blowing, it blows itself shut and not open. The force always pushes harder to close the Ecoflap rather open it. This is because pivoting in the middle, viewed from the front, the top of the flap has the larger surface area and viewed from the rear the lower part is largest, so the Ecoflap is always presenting its largest area to the draught, which blows it shut, not open. It is so effective it withstands 100mph winds yet the subtle difference in balanced forces means it can open with a single sheet of paper. Not only that but the flap will move completely up and out of the way when something is posted so the largest of items pass through without being trapped or wedging the flap open. That means no more torn papers and parcels caught in springs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it is supposed to do 22 Sep 2013

This really simple device for my letterbox excludes the draft while letting all the mail through. It was simple to fit and has been no trouble in the several months it has now been working. I suspect it is better value than some of the cheaper alternatives

4.0 out of 5 stars Not completely draught-proof, but pretty-close 22 April 2013

I fitted the Eco-Flap with screws and silicon sealant.

You can feel a very slight breeze through it, but still a million times better than conventional letterboxes.

Unfortunately when the mailman decides to Hadouken my mail through my letterbox, it sometimes leaves the eco-flap open.

5.0 out of 5 stars See the You tube Video - Great Draught Reducer 23 Oct 2012

Ok you could buy the 5-10 pounds brush that fits over the letterbox but this is awesome as they say in the USA. British invention that costs around 20-25 pounds - comes in two colors white and brown. i attached mine to an old door that isn't that straight with silicon caulk as they suggested but you can do this with screws too. No problems with letters coming through. Solid well built

There are a number of youtube videos that shows you how to install and how the thing works. [...]
Now No draughts -

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! 29 Dec 2013

I wasn't so sure why I was paying a bit extra for this, but I've had a few really full on storms and it doesn't rattle, let wind or rain in, it does exactly what it claims and was easy to fit.. I really love it. Big enough for all the Christmas mail too!!

2.0 out of 5 stars I did not buy this from Amazon 29 Mar 2013
By Dazzaaa
It may work if it's made properly, the one I bought was not well made and did not seal out the draft.
Fitted it on the inside of my door.... if any post does not drop away from it (as shown by the small rolled up junk mail flyer that got posted today), it will not seal any draft at all unless you have draft proofing on the outside which kinda defeats the purpose of it for me, you may be better off just getting a better external letter flap and save some cash.

3.0 out of 5 stars keeps open 9 Mar 2013

good idea that it is but when something that isn't completely thin gets put through the inner flap often stays stuck out and then the letter plate remains open and lets the cold air in.

4.0 out of 5 stars 95% effective 12 Jan 2013
Works well and easy to install. Only minute draught now enters (unless postman leaves mail poking half way through the letterbox!)

Had delivery issues - though I think this was a problem with royal mail service overload at Christmas- and the first consignment going missing- it took 5 weeks but I am happy with the result.
