Product Description

"An admirably ambitious genre-bending novel, bringing us a memorable character...and world(s) we can't wait to see more of. Ware's writing style is a joy to read... long may Ecko rise." (Starburst Magazine on Ecko Rising)"

"A dense and engaging read which keeps the reader hooked by stacking up one amazing thing after the other... it s violent, sarcastic, filled with nods and references to all things geeky and fun, and features perhaps one of the most scenery-chewing, over-the-top bad guys that we ve seen in some time." --Starburst

"Ecko Burning feels very much like the promise of something even greater to come... funny, exciting and compelling." --Alternative Magazine

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Read 27 Dec 2013
Yet again Danie Ware nails a captivating sequel to Ecko Rising. Ecko Burning was something I had been long waiting for ever since I completed reading Ecko Rising, a book I have read five or six times since it was released. Knowing that Danie Ware knows her subject matter all too well, fantasy and science fiction make up the person she is. But enough about Danie, Ecko Burning was an excellent read and is a deserving continuation of the story that unfolded within Ecko Rising.

Such fantastic characters written in just two books, I don't know how she is going to bring it all to a close. I for one am looking forward to reading that final book, even if it is the last.

5.0 out of 5 stars As twisted as a pretzel 1 Dec 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As long as you can keep on top of the multiple characters in a world unknown to us, or just the ability to ride Ecko and realise the screwed up one is the easiest to comprehend, this is a fantastic piece of writing.

Sometimes you just wish that the main hero would tow the line so you didn't have to go from last page back to first to be certain you haven't missed a plot line. But that would be boring. Let it burn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Builds on and extends the first title in the series 1 Mar 2014

This is good solid work. I'm astounded Ware hasn't written anything before this series; the books are just that good.

I felt like I was in the hands of old friends like Roger Zelazny, Steven Brust, Melissa Scott or Diana Wynn Jones, but in no sense is this derivative. It has a fresh voice and original ideas that hold their own held up to those greats.

Eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
