Product Description

2013 album from the Alt-Pop/Rock band led by singer/songwriter Matt Scannell. The title of the album is a lyric from the song 'Evermore'. It captures recurring themes throughout the record, such as a emotional and physical distance, as well as the often-hidden layers of emotion that exist within relationships. Neil Peart from Rush guest drums on the album. Vertical Horizon released their breakout album, Everything You Want, in 1999 and the single and title track 'Everything You Want,' captured the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts, and became Billboard's Most Played Single of 2000. Having carved out a page in music history the band garnered further radio attention with more hits over the years.

Songwriting, musicianship, everything on this album is at 100+ %. This is the best album that Matt and his (recently) ever changing band have made. The songs are beautifully constructed and even though the subjects in some cases appear sad the overwhelming vibe of the music is very uplifting. This is already one of my favourite ever albums and I will listen to it for many many years to come.

Been a fan since the early 90's... and this album doesn't fail to deliver either.
I've got everything they've ever done after being introduced to them via a Canadian pen pal and stuck with them ever since...
Just buy it... without hesitation... you'll miss out otherwise!

For the part of you wanting a return to the VH of the 'Everything You Want' and 'Go' era, it isn't that. I guarantee though that the rest of you will not be disappointed. Some of their best work is on this record and they sincerely deserve recognition and success for it - recommend it to all your friends. Hopefully it won't take another 4 years for their next record to come out!

One of their best if not the best. VH fans will love this. Typical mix of well written and well played songs. If you haven't discovered Vertical Horizon yet then you're missing out.
