Ebola Syndrome [DVD] [1996] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

Probably one of the most un-PC films I've ever seen... so very tasteless, wrong on so many levels and definately going to shock most people... I love tasteless movies though and really enjoyed this flick!

Well worth hunting down if you can... a perfect Friday night movie for beers & pizza with the lads!!!

Tony wong plays a creepy, sleazy chef caught inflagrante with his bosses wife, upset that the boss promptly orders him to castrate himself he instead murders the entire family save for the daughter when another guest arrives and threatens to catch him in the act. Wongs character gives the game away when the guest asks whats going on by replying "can't you se i'm killing them, whats your problem!"
The film then picks up 10 years later as wong is living in south africa working as a chef in a lucrative chinese restaraunt. After the white afrikanas start jacking up meat prices wong and his boss begin buying meat off local tribesmen, unconcerned by the rapidly spreading ebola virus thats taking its toll on the local population. Now you would think that the tainted meat would lead to an outbreak of ebola but no! Instead things go bad when wong, getting steadily more horny thanks to his inability to procure a hooker, thinks it would be a good idea to get relief by raping a tribeswoman dying of Ebola. Newly infected and looking rather unwell, wongs boss is concerned enough to go to a local dostor, who tells him ebola is mostly fatal aside from a small number of people with a natural immunity to the disease but act as typhoid marys to everyone else, spreading the disease through bodily fluids, and guess what... yep thats right wong is immune!
After waking up feeling well again and deciding its best to do a runner after finding out the woman asking questions about him around the restaurant is the daughter of his old boss he killed ten years ago, Wong rapes his bosses wife, kills her and the boss (infecting both of them with ebola in the process) and turns their remains into hamburgers in order to rais quick cash in order to escape back to hong kong. After this the bad taste continues to flow like sewerage as wong spreads death and disease through south africa and Hong kong and causing a lot of mayhem.
Yep Ebola syndrome is one sick puppy of a movie, even by some of the more notorious cat3 films that came out ebola is in a class of its own, managing to incorporate enough rape, murder, enforced cannibalism and even a little necrophilia and racism into the mix to ensure its place as one of the most offensive movies ever made. So seriously THE EASILY OFFENDED SHOULD AVOID THIS MOVIE LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Those of us who enjoy dirtbag movies like this, blood sucking freaks, combat shock ect will probably enjoy it though the film is sick sure, but its also pretty good, and taken as a pitch black comedy its pretty funny in places too (though I do have a sick sense of humour.)
The film was previously only available through dodgy bootleg vhs tapes with godawful subtitles and poor picture quality. This version however looks fantastic (better than it probably deserves) the subtitles are much better (but for comdey value there is the option to watch it with the poor quality older subtitles) Theres also trailers, interviews and a commentary track so the disc is pretty decent as well.

Basically so long as you dont care that this film is grossly ofensive to just about anyone, and your looking for a little sick fun Ebola is actually probably worth a look.

I came across this uncommon gem through a friend who lent it me. The plot is a man who works in a resurant in south africa travels to an african tribe farm to buy cheap chicken to sell in meals. While there a women is dying of ebola syndrome by the side of a lake and the man decides to rape her. she dies while he is raping her and rather than catching the virus and dying, he becomes a carrier. A notoriously deadly virus that causes fearsome symptoms, the most prominent being high fever and massive internal bleeding, An epedemic of this virus breaks out and everyone ends up vomiting blood and dying around the world. There are some cool murder scenes when a man catches the main guy who is a complete retard having sex with his wife, and a nice scene in the resurant involving customers eating human burgers without being aware of it. A pretty cool film for lovers of twisted cinema such as old boy and dumplin.CHECK IT OUT IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT.
