3.0 out of 5 stars Useful but lacking, 31 Jul 2005
What to say about a DM's screen? AT the last these are utilitarian items, so it's effectiveness, accuracy and looks that make the measure. On all of these I am afraid that this screen falls short. The painting on the front is an archetypal encounter with the Emerald Claw, and has the distinction of not including a Warforged! It's useful for players as a reminder of one of the elements of the game, but perhaps not as evocative as it could have been. It doesn't credit him, but I am guessing that this is a Wayne Reynolds painting.

Inside, the information is what you expect. The only Eberron element is the list of Dragonmarks, Houses and the associated Guilds. But good grief, they missed out the Mark of Healing! Not a good start. Additionally I am not happy with the decision to make the shield stand in landscape fashion (i.e. long side on the table) rather than the usual portrait. It /is/ a shield, and thus needs shield the DM's notes, not sort of provide a half divider.

Of course, the real reason most of us will buy this item is the new poster map of Khorvaire inside. And very nice the map is too, with trade roads and lightning rail lines running contiguously. And with political boundaries marked, which make judging location easier. But I was very disappointed with the quality of the glossy paper it is printed on. It's really thin and flimsy, and even after opening it only a couple of time the corners of folds are beginning to fray. Not good, Wizards! Maps are one thing that will be opened and closed often. If Paizo can manage a reasonable quality for their /free/ map of Greyhawk, then you ought to do the same, even if it adds a couple of dollars to the price. Eberron and maps are cursed, it seems.

Overall, I can only give this product three stars. It doesn't have the quality and style I would expect from an Eberron addition.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best dungeon master screen I've seen, 23 Jul 2009
By Alberto Mejias Martos (Spain) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This dungeon master screen for Eberron is great, best than everything because the 4 sheets are horizontal instead of vertical, thus making the screen very low, allowing the master to see over it.
