4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Food 14 Aug 2005
The great difference between this guide and others is that it focusses on pubs renowned for its food. For the foodie this book is a must. The book is more compact than some of the other guides so there is no excuse not to take it when travelling around the country.

5.0 out of 5 stars windsor castle inn 21 Feb 2007
A wonderful new pub with it's own brewery at the back.A fine selection of real ales and quality wines. The food is traditional pub grub plus a wonderful selection of specials at a very reasonable price. Sausages are made specially with their beer in, hams are cooked in beer. A good selection of fish dishes, hop pots(casserole dishes)and platters to share. The atmosphere is wonderful as the decor is a mixture of old and new, having wine bar/brasserie feel about it whilst still being a traditional pub.Finalists in the 'publican magazine' newcomer of the year 2007 awards and chamber of commerce achievement award.
