I bought a previous edition of this book many years ago but never adopted the principles as it all seemed a bit too scientific. However, with age, I am increasingly recognising that Michel's principles are sound - with an emphasis on unprocessed foods being central to the eating plan. The book takes a bit of reading over to understand it fully but it's worth sticking with and offers an intelligent analysis of how food is digested and how unbalanced sugar levels can wreak havoc with your body. I firmly believe that Michel is onto something and by looking at his website you can see that it has had very positive results for people who have followed it in the longer term. I am two weeks in and feeling less bloated, lighter and have more energy. I also feel that I am being kind to my body by avoiding white refined products and sticking with brown and unprocessed foods. A good read - buy it!
