Bought this for recent trip to the Maldives. It was the first time I had used an underwater camera and I was worried it might leak and I wasn't sure what the quality of pictures would be like. I need not have worried - the camera was robust and leak proof and took really good photos. It is easy to use underwater and stays on standby for a long time so you're not constantly having to switch it on/off. It has a decent zoom which was more than adequate for snorkelling over reefs and I even used the movie function to film a shark and some stingrays and again the footage was very good. The pictures are easy to review on the camera and very easy to download onto my computer. The camera takes AA batteries which will last about an hour if it is on almost constant standby - I found this to be fine as I would simply change them after an hours snorkelling ready for my next excursion underwater. The battery compartment can be a little fiddly to access initially but after a couple of times of opening and shutting it you get the hang of it. I used it twice a day for a week and took hundreds of photos with it ( I bought a 32gb micro memory card to go with it) All in all a smashing little camera and well worth the price. (I would recommend buying a floating wrist-strap too as I found this kept my camera secure and would be very useful if you dropped the camera whilst swimming).

NOT TOP NOTCH
=============
This camera is not a top of the range camera. It doesn't look incredible. But it is incredible value. It's ideal as an introduction to photography for kids. You'll know when they're old enough to take their own pictures. And the beauty of it being digital is they can take as many photos as they like. (Memory card permitting.)

RESOLUTION
==========
For daytime photos this was fine. At night they were acceptable but not as good.

SPEED
=====
No sluggishness or lag. Just right.

VIDEO
=====
Is suitable for youtube clips etc, if you're after a HD quality camera, look elsewhere.

OVERALL
=======
If you're after an inexpensive camera for kids it's ideal.

Good fun but the flash is a bit temperamental (actually we can't get it to work) but good for kids on holiday.

This is a really small camera which takes good pictures underwater. That's it in a nutshell, but we had a lot of fun in the sea and swimming pool taking photos - it's also not bad as a normal camera - about the same as a phone camera quality.

If you have a bit of money to spare or are looking for a birthday prezzie for a teenager - good spot.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on this - but I have to say I am absolutely delighted with this wee camara. Its a bit tricky to open the battery compartment but apart from that we have used it 14 days underwater in the pool and got some brilliantly sharp photos and the video is great too. Really can't fault it! The batteries last a few days too and that was me taking about 100 photos at a time. I couldnt see the back of the camera when taking the photos cos of the glare from the sun so its a case of point and shoot and take as many you you can to get the best shots, but there weren't many I had to delete. I didnt use the flash as it was so sunny the pool was well lit. I didn't use out of water only underwater. But Honestly don't read the negative reviews this is a fab camera for underwater photos.

Good camera, works in water as expected. Learned it's hard to take photos underwater through no fault of the camera. Battery life is dire. Took maybe 10 photos in 20 minutes and the long life batteries died, so did other types of batteries so the issue is with the camera.

Pleased with the quality of the pictures for the money paid, but the camera only lasted one summer before dying...I'll pay more next time.
