I would have given this five stars but for the battery life. It is simple to use as a camera and well designed, the waterproof case works very well, with the buttons easy to use underwater, the underwater strap is simple and comfortable and it takes good still photographs and acceptable videos underwater. You do need to have reasonable lighting and avoid too much movement to get the best pictures but as you can take about 4000 still images on a 2GB memory disk you can afford to have a few blurred shots. However you do need to have several sets of spare batteries as it uses two AA batteries and we went through five sets in two weeks and that was with careful use.

I needed a replacement for a similar camera that uses film (tried getting real film developed lately?) and this fills the gap adequately. It is a very simple camera, no frills, but as long as you don't try anythng exciting, like long distance shots, it's fine. Eats batteries though, so always have a spare set. Or two!

This is my first underwater camera which I bought prior to participating in a PADI open water diving course on holiday. I found it easy to use and the photos of reasonable quality underwater but not so sharp on land. When photos are downloaded onto iPhoto and enhanced they are of good quality considering the camera price. The deepest dive I took it on was 24 m - no problems with the seals. Based on reviews from others I took plenty of batteries but have not needed to change them having taken approx 45 pictures and still got battery life left - albeit the recharge is starting to take some time. I found I had to be careful washing the housing after diving so as not to detach the yellow buttons which allow the camera to be used. Taken together I am happy with this camera.
