There are few "my God, what a brilliant idea" must rush off and cook it new recipies here, but as a meat eater this was a very handy little book for some straight forward and pretty easy to make dishes.

Not having much of a clue on what makes a decent veggie meal this was a great help and hopefully meant my guests did not starve :) Many thanks, CW.

When I downloaded this book it was free, I think if I had paid much I would have been disappointed. None of the recipes really grabbed me apart from one - the vegetarian mushroom gravy (thanks jforbess). I have just tried it and it is really lovely - otherwise my rating would have been lower.

At the time of writing this review, this download is no longer free. If you are thinking of paying for this be warned, it's more if a collection of recipes on the web than a book. The recipes appear to have been written by enthusiastic home cooks who have posted them online so you could probably find them there. Some of the recipes are very wordy so if you are a complete beginner you might find this useful, likewise the step by step photos. But for anyone used to following a recipe, you might find it a little irksome.

It's not that it was a bad book, or that I didn't think it was helpful for cooking. It's that all of the recipes looked horrible. Read more
