Il be honest I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan but we do have family members that are and I always struggle to think beyond the macaroni cheese so after previewing this and seeing that this book thought outside of the box and had so many recipes for different mealtimes on offer I made my purchase. I'm happy to report back that I'm very pleased with my purchase and the content of this book. There are some healthy and nutritious vegetarian recipes and what's more they sound delicious. There are also Vegan substitutions you can use for recipes that are not vegan. I also think the list of recommended supplements that vegetarians should have is a nice touch and very practical and helpful. The recipes are easy to follow and seem easy to follow so overall practical and pleasing book with lots of excellent information for veggies or otherwise!

"Easy Vegetarian Recipes" is a very good collection of easy to make dishes for just about every occasion, and you certainly don't have to be vegetarian to enjoy them. My extended family have of a wide range of diet preferences including vegetarian, some for personal convictions and others for medical concerns, and we try to accommodate our guest's food preferences when we invite them over. This is not our first vegetarian cookbook, but it is one of the better ones.

The book opens with a definition of the different "types" of vegetarians, including those that have preferences concerning eating eggs, dairy, fish, and even cooked vs raw, in any combination. I hadn't ever really given much thought to this, so if you are cooking for a guest it would be a good idea to find out in advance what they prefer. Since I am not a practicing vegetarian, the section on vegetarian nutrition and the need for supplements was also interesting to me and was well covered. The inclusion of links to the products the author recommends was a very helpful addition as well.

There are 10 recipes each for Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Appetizers, Dinner, and Desserts (11 if you include the Pie Crust that is used in other recipes), and they range from normal meat "replacement" type dishes to uniquely vegetarian creations. While all of the recipes do pretty much live up to the "easy" promise in the title, some do take specialized ingredients that most kitchens will not have on hand, so it is a good idea to read through the ingredient list before heading off the store.

This is a very good addition to my ever growing cookbook collection!

It is obvious that a lot of care went into the making of this cookbook: the formatting is great, the contents are clickable, the author gives a very thorough account of what Vegans need in their diet, vegan substitutions for dairy products are included in the intro and also more specifically in any recipe that includes dairy, and the recipes are wonderful.

I love the layout of this cookbook. It has the recipes separated by when you would eat the food, for example, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The recipes are great and I will be using it in the future. I really love all the spices and herbs for each meal. This gives the food an extra kick. The directions are very clear. The author even adds many links and information at the beginning to get great supplements. The only downside is that it doesn't have a Table of contents on the kindle menu (it's in the book itself) where you can easily click through. I'm using my computer to read it so I don't know if it's like that on other devices. Other than that this is great. I recommend this cookbook to everyone, whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or a meat eater.

I picked up this Easy Vegetarian Recipes book when the author was featuring her cookbook at a 99 cent Kindle book feature price. It is packed with great recipes, creative dishes and yes, as the book title says, easy. I like how the book is organized into meals of the day (emphasizing breakfast as the most important meal we need to fuel up our bodies) and since it's a Kindle book and not a regular cookbook, I can put it on my Kindle stand and keep the recipe in sight as I prepare a particular dish. I can even take my Kindle when I go to Whole Foods and refer back to particular recipes I want to make and be sure that I buy all the ingredients I need. The author also delineates vegan substitutions for her recipes so that you can make most of the recipes, at least the ones I've prepared, as vegan recipes in lieu of vegetarian fare.

I'm a vegetarian by choice and proud not to eat meat. I believe in being kind to animals and choosing not to eat meat means to me that I am a more ethical person. I preach what I practice too, and have turned a few friends into vegetarians. It is possible to eat a healthy vegetarian diet and eat tasty meals. This recipe book is a super vegetarian vegan hybrid cookbook to have in your vegetarian cookbook collection and is the one cookbook I now use the most!
