I bought this for my boyfriends niece's for Christmas... They are 6 & 8 years old. When I looked through the book I was inspired (secretly wished I had a copy for myself lol). Lovely illustrations and simple instructions make this ideal for children and anyone that's learning. It is encourages you to persevere when you have made a mistake and instructs you on how to rectify mistakes... always useful for beginners. The Girls were delighted with the book and are busy making our little dog a jacket!

I wanted an easy knitting book to teach some basic stitches. This isn't the best book of its kind I've found but it has got some useful patterns and the instructions are pretty good.

Last week I wanted to teach myself to knit. I went to the library and got over a dozen books--this being one of them. I'm 43 years old and found this "kids" book the best of the bunch for a novice knitter. I like the easy-to-follow pictures. Some of the projects don't appeal to me -- "jazzy beaded hair band" or the "tassel hat", but you could modify these patterns to suit the adult. I loved the ease of the scarf--showing you how to mix two yarns together--and the mittens! Great book for any age!

The collection of these books are absolutely incredible. They offer visuals, cartoon characters, and easy step-by-step ways of creating fun knitting projects! :) For someone who has never knitted before, I started with: Kids' Easy Knitting Projects (Quick Starts for Kids!) Which is an absolutely great book to start learning how to knit- even if you aren't a kid (but aren't we all at heart?!)
Now, I'm starting my nieces on learning how to knit and they are 5. These books are a great tool to help them along!
I highly recommend these books for any age! Whether you are learning yourself for the first time, or whether you want to teach young kids on how to do this stuff, Terri Thibault and Peg Blanchette's creations are a fabulous way to start- and grow yours, or their, talents! :)
